Compatible with motor systems up to 5000W, this battery combines the maximum capacity available at 72V, LG’s premium 5000mAh cell chemistry, and the 80A discharge headroom needed to power the most demanding high-voltage motor builds without restriction.

2160Wh — The Maximum Energy of Any Battery in the Range

At 30Ah and 72V nominal, this battery stores 2160Wh of usable energy — the highest capacity figure of any battery across the entire 48V, 52V and 72V range. For context: the 52V 35Ah 80A triangle pack delivers 1820Wh at 52V. This battery exceeds that — 2160Wh of energy at the highest voltage platform available, delivered through the highest-rated discharge BMS in the range.

For high-output 72V motor systems in the 3000W–5000W range consuming 40–60Wh per kilometre under hard performance riding, 2160Wh delivers an estimated 36–54km per charge. For builds operating at lower average power levels — long-distance performance commuting, extended trail riding at moderate pace, or mixed urban and rural riding — the range per charge extends substantially beyond the hard-use estimate.

Grade A Samsung 50G Cells — Premium Discharge-Capable 

Grade A selection ensures every cell in this battery pack is manufactured to the tightest internal resistance tolerances — balanced charge distribution across the full 72V series string, consistent output per cell, and uniform ageing that maintains pack capacity across the full service life. The cycle life specification confirms this premium quality: 800–1000+ cycles before the pack degrades to 80% of its original 2160Wh capacity — close to three years of daily charging at the upper end of the range.

80A at 72V — 5760W Continuous Discharge for up to  5000W Systems

The 80A continuous discharge current of this battery is the discharge specification that matches its 5000W motor compatibility. At 72V nominal, 80A continuous discharge delivers 5760W of sustained power draw — 760W of headroom above the 5000W motor ceiling, ensuring the BMS protection threshold stays comfortably clear of peak motor demand under the hardest possible operating conditions. Full-throttle sustained climbs, race-pace off-road riding, high-speed flat running at peak motor output — the 80A BMS handles all of these scenarios without protection trip events or current limiting that would reduce motor performance.

At 72V, the 80A BMS is the correctly proportioned discharge specification for 5000W motor systems. A 60A BMS at 72V would deliver 4320W of headroom — sufficient for 3000W systems but marginal for 5000W operation under sustained full-power demand. The 80A rating ensures this battery never becomes the bottleneck in a 5000W 72V drivetrain.

XT90 Connector and 84V Charge Cut-Off

This battery uses an XT90 connector rated for up to 90A continuous current — the correct connector specification for 80A continuous discharge with 10A of thermal headroom. At 80A operating current, an XT60 connector would be at its absolute limit, generating elevated terminal heat and accelerated contact wear. The XT90 connector maintains low contact resistance and minimal heat generation across hundreds of high-current connection cycles.

The BMS enforces the 84V cut-off automatically. Full charge from empty takes approximately 6 hours at standard charge rates, suited to overnight charging routines that deliver the full 2160Wh every morning.
